Arulmigu Masilamaneeshwarar Shiva temple at Thirumullaivoyal

This 1200 years old temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Shri Masilamaneeswarar and Divine Mother Shakti as Shri Kodiyidai Nayaki Amman. Built by the King Thondaimaan in the Sangam Period, the temple derives its uniqueness as one of the “Paadal petra Sthalam” of TamilNadu and nayanmars like Sundarar, arunagirinathar have composed hymns or pathigams here.

The roof of the temple is designed by Pallava architecture – the Gaja Prishtam, that looks like a rear of an elephant and is built on a circular base known as “Thoonganai Maadam” in Tamil which means a building that looks like a rear of a sleeping elephant. Every year in the month of Chithirai (March – April) on Sadayam star, the Santhana kappu is refurbished with Veru kappu.

Pachaiamman Temple

This temple is 1000yrs old and is situated in a beautiful locality surrounded by greenery of fields for the goddess Pachaiamman. This was the first Pachaiamman temple built after which many other Pachaiamman temples were built. This temple is a typical village temple where you cannot find stone idols but only stucco images. It is believed that there is an original place called Mukkodal a kilometer before the main temple where goddess Parvathi worshipped Lord Shiva and every month poornima night pooja is conducted here. Lord Shiva’s idol here is called Suyamdu Lingam and the Lingam is said to be growing slowly.

Sri Vaishnavi temple

This temple is situated in Avadi, which few kms away from Ambattur. There is also an ashram in the campus for sadaka members devoted to Sri Vaishnavi Devi and visiting sannyasis. People who worship at this temple experience ecstasy and bliss apart from immense peace. The number of devotees are increasing day by day and this temple as been included in the few places to visit in the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department. Rituals are offered on daily with evening abhishekam, archanas with special poojas on Thursdays, Fridays, purnimas, moolams and poorams as a routine through out the year.

Sai baba temple

As we know there are a lot of devotees who worship and believe in Shirdi Sai baba. A devotee by name Shridhar contributed to this temple. This temple was built by Santhana deva kumar in 2003. In the entrance there is 9 feet tall idol of lord Baba. This represents the navavidha bhakthi. In the left side lord Ganesh, Shiva-Parvathi and lord Dattatreya are installed. In the right side Dhuni fire, Nandhi and Lord Hanuman’s idols are installed. Feed for the poor is distributed every Thursday at the temple.

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brindavan temple

This temple is situated in Ambattur. There are few sevas like the Karya Siddhi Seva which provides a positive and permanent solutions to several problems of the devotees. Lord Raghavendra pours his grace and blessings and grants solutions to his devotees through Karya Siddhi prayers. Very sincere mass prayers are conducted on every Thursdays. The mutt is blessed with 16 cows and 4 calves and is worshipped every Sundays.

Vinnavaraya Perumal temple

This temple is located in old Ambattur. Its devotees seek freedom from diseases and gain courage and wealth. Its believed that they also achieve relief from adverse effects from bad planetary aspects and relief from bondage.
